  • DR nodes not connecting through Backburner

    Hello,

Pretty straight forward issue here. I'm trying to send a job to a single server on backburner with DR turned on. But for the life of me I just cannot get the nodes connecting. Using DR on my local machine through a normal render works fine and everyone connects. i initially thought it was dodgy materials/textures, but that's been resolved and still doesn't work.

Has anyone had this issue before/ or knows of what can cause these strange Dr node issues?

    Vray 3.3 - Max 2016.

    Many Thanks in advance.

You need to add a vray_dr.cfg file to the machine you are sending the job to:-

    192.168.0.10 1 20204
    192.168.0.11 1 20204
    192.168.0.12 1 20204
    restart_slaves 1
    list_in_scene 0
    max_servers 0
    use_local_machine 1
    transfer_missing_assets 1
    use_cached_assets 0
    cache_limit_type 2
    cache_limit 100.000000
    Kind Regards,

        Hello,

Thank you Richard for this tip. However, I find that weird, since we never needed such a thing here. Activating the "Save Servers in Scene" has always worked for us, it's even activated in our custom maxstart file.

        Regards.
