  • Spray Paint: Pflow and Distance tex?

    Hi,
I'm trying to animate an airbrush pistol. My problem is the paint on the wall.
I've tryed to use pflow to scatter particles and use them as distance object in a distance tex.
    But something isn't working properly.
It kind of works on my workstation; Sometimes I have to rerender a frame to see it.
But it dosn't work on the renderfarm.

I could do it in post, render the pflow particles and use it as mask...
But I'd have to relinquish the reflection of the pistol on the wall and the paint.. Since I dont have the time to render the whole thing twice..

Is there a trick to get it to work? Or is this simply not supported?
    If not, any other suggestions?
    Many thanks in advance.

Peter Watje did have a texture map that used particles to paint.
I last used it many years ago, but here is a link

      Thanks alot Raven.
If I have found this erlier I'd use it. I now use a rendered mask as camera texture.
      But thanks again
