saving exr has become hell on earth

Hi,

I use to use Vray raw image file to save exr with layers for RE and it was wonderland.
But now with denoiser it has become impossible to use, the file is HUGE and makes the composting UBER slow on our gigabits network.
I am trying to revert to using MAX saver but...

It is impossible to set the state of a layer to On when using maxscript if Vray VFB is Enabled so the layer isn't saved.
If I use automatically Add/Remove RE and disable Vray VFB the denoiser layer is entirely black and anyway I don't have any control on the type or format.

I am trying more combinations but have little hope of getting it solved...


Has anyone mastered this Chinese puzzle?

Now trying with save separate exr, it generates an error: "There were errors writing to output"
But the outputs are there... and not all the RE of the denier which is more or less what I want.
I am a bit scared to send hundreds of frame to BB though if each frame is generating an error and block the followings...
