    hello
    im oren leventar

    maybe this is already post here but i want to make sure its not only my problem

    simple scene to compare between vray light material and actual plane lights

      Thank you for sending us the scene.
      If you do a test: replacing the GGX with Blinn in example and the stripped lights with real rectangular ones, the result will be the same. Generally you don't get a clean noise free surface because of the glossiness which V-Ray cleans much slower than the rest of the image, which is an expected behavior. Instead of progressive sampler type which doesn't have so much control you can try using Buket mode and experiment with different values. I found that Min/Max 1/8 and Threshold of 0.01 works fine for this surface.

        I'm still looking into it to figure out whether there is something else going on in this case. Sampling of mesh lights can be improved quite a bit, in general.
