  • Rendering issue with vray dirt

I have a fairly simple scene. I'm using Phoenix FD ocean texture for the displacement on a plane. There is a buoy on the ocean surface (just below). I use a blend material and lay a white material with a vray dirt mask so that is captures the intersection of the buoy with the water surface. Problem is that the render just stops after completing about 12 or so buckets. I have to force quite max.

    Using Vray versions: 3.40.01

And if you try a VRayDistanceTex instead?

Yeah, I was wondering about using that. I'll give it a go.

It seems that work with transparency was causing the freeze. Still another issue though when I try and stop the render. It just sits there continuing without any buckets being rendered...if that makes sense.

Sounds like a bug, any chance to send the scene for investigation?
