Vray Sphere Fade not rendering objects

Hi all

I'm trying to render some populate people walking around my scene by using the vray sphere fade to render a pass of them as an addition to my animation.

I have linked the sphere gizmo to the people (one per person) and applied the effect in the render rollout.

all I get is a white render? Do I need to "render selected" and select the objects and the sphere gizmo or just render the whole frame?

Struggling to find a tutorial which runs through it step by step

solved: turned off lens effects (bloom and glare) and it then worked!
