  • More than one depth channel in exr-Files

    Hi,

i have a problem with the "VRayZDepth" elements. If I use only one VRayZDepth Element in an exr-File all works great and I can see the depth channel in Nuke. But if I want to have two or more. Nuke doesn't show any of them.

I attached a simple sample Scene (Max2016) and two exr-Files (with one depth channel and one with three).

Perhaps somebody can tell me what I am doing wrong.

I know that I could perhaps use an falloff-maps with camera z-axis and vrayExtraTex but I don't like workarounds.

    Hi,

You may find the depth channels of "multi_depth.exr" in a layer named "other". Nuke puts all single channel render elements in this layer.
In order to easily load single channel render elements, you could explicitly specify layer by adding a dot (".") in the render element name, for example use "VRayZDepth_.r", "VRayZDepth_B.r", "VRayZDepth_C.r" and so on.
This applies to all single channel render elements like RenderID and ZDepth for example.
