    hi,

    why does a vraylight calculate ambient occlusion? can i disable this?

    What do you mean by that?
    How does it calculate AO?
    Is it a normal vray light or environment light?

        Have you tried to exclude the light from the VrayDirt calculation?

          i think that neither in vrayextratex nor in the vraydirt i can select lights... possible?

            Hmm... yes you are right. I didn't know that.

            So I thought that this was an easy to solve... but no.

              Make the light invisible using it's options, turn on work with transparency in the vray dirt!

                Yes, it was recently added to the online manual: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...p+%7C+VRayDirt at the bottom of the page.
