  • VrayMetaball looks broken

Hi, I'm just trying to do some dropplets using pflow and vray metaball but I'm having some kind of problem at the render. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong but it looks like the geometry is broken somehow. The weird thing is that if I activate the peview on viewport and increase the resolution the bubbles looks fine on the viewport but not in the render. If I use a mesher it does render fine because I guess it is using the viewport preview options. I'm wondering if there is anything wrong with this tool or I might be doing something bad. The settings are just as default, just activate the "Use particle size" so I can control the size on pflow. Here are some stills

These are probably stepping artifacts. Lowering the step length should get rid of them (at the cost of slightly longer render time)

Hi Miroslav, thanks for your answer. I have tried lowering to 0,1 and it gets rid of most of the artifacts but still it is not clean. Also, the render time is increased, so is kinda crazy that in some cases is better to have this in preview mode and render with a mesher at cost that it will lag the viewport but the render will run faster and without artifacts :/

А low value of .1 should be enough to get rid of the artifacts in most cases. Can you share the scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can take a closer look.

By the way I have to mention, the two renders look identical to me(minus the render time).
