  • vrayDenoiser crash

if I use the denoiser render element in a 1k rendering everything is good, but if I use it in a 6k rendering it crashes as soon as the denoiser starts... and it reboots the computer.

I use the latest build and a gtx 980ti with the newest driver.
before I had a gt 640 in this computer and it worked well but very slow, so it has to do with the new graphic card.

    any ideas?

    thanks

By latest build do you mean the latest official build, or some of the nightly/stable builds?

This should be already fixed in the latest nightly-stable builds.

You can always turn off the hardware acceleration option... Might be slower but it will work.

That's interesting and good to know. I've had crashes with denoiser too.

We had a bug that we fixed there, so it will be better for the next SP.

I have installed the latest nightly now and it crashes like before with opencl enabled...
although it takes longer till it crashes, maybe after a minute of denoising it restarts the computer.

a funny fact is that I have installed the same card in my workstation and it worked flawless till I put the same card into my main rendernode, now I have this problem.
I have bought a new GTX 1080 for my workstation and this card works also fine. so if there a library needed, something to install, it's so strange...

it happens in all scenes, so I can't send a scene...

ps. without hardware acceleration it works.

                  best regards

Can you tell the exact GPU model that is causing troubles, as well as the driver version ?
