Vray Curvature doesnt work as a mask in Composite map

Hello,

as the topis says, if i plug vray curvature map to the max composite node as a mask, it doesnt work.
However, if i plug it into vray dirt as a radius map and then to composite mask, it works with some tweaking.
I dont get it.

Any ideas?

has anyone encountered max composite note being corrupt?
even very simple tests prove that layer multiplication is failing out of the sudden for some reason

This seems to work fine on a simple scene. Can you attach an example scene with your set-up?
