  • Strange new VR bug

This is interesting, I've triple checked all my settings, re created the camera, tried it with the stereo helper adjusting the res and not, and even tried pano spherical camera instead, and for some reason my cube camera is rendering like this:

Name:	DVNT_Ens_VR01.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	475.0 KB
ID:	885898

None of the cubes are square, for some reason there is 18 distinctive rectangles, and there is a blank area on the right of the frame...any ideas?

This is the first time i've used 2017 to do a vr...

Is it still like that when you zoom in and give it a sec to refresh?
    Kind Regards,

Yeah I thought it was just the light cache not updating in the display correctly, but that is the image.

        Hi,

Can you post here or send part of the scene that reproduces the problem to our support mail for investigation?

            Thank you!

What I found is that there are two V-Ray stereoscopic helpers in this scene and they both are Enabled. This setup makes my Max to crash on each render, not sure if it's the same for you.
If you remove or disable one of them the final render becomes correct.

As for the odd render result (image similar to LC calculation) I can't reproduce it here. I see you have Denoiser render element, can you try to turn it off just for a test ?

The odd result and the crash (which i didn't mention but was also happening here) has been resolved by deleting one of the stereo things. Not sure how I got two stereo things in the first place but anyway.

Probably be good if the program would deal with two stereo helpers being present without breaking.

We've added this into our bug-tracking system and this will be fixed for future builds.
