        It seems it hast to do with the manifest.

        I am running a 4k screen and use the .manifest option to scale up 3DsMax 2015.
        When I put the manifest text file next to my 3dsmax.exe Vray shows chinese (or similar) text. When removing the manifest file Vray shows English text.

        So... Next quest is how to get it properly working ;-S

        Vlado, is this something you are able to fix?

          Can you attach the manifest file so that we can reproduce this here?

          Best regards,
          Vlado

            I will do that as soon as I can.
            First I am doing a clean install/reset of windows 10, then 3dsMax 2015, activate the manifest, and install vray.

            If it happens again I'll let you know..

            best

              Hi Vlado,
              Ik did a factory reset on my new laptop, and installed Max and Vray. After doing the Manifest edit, I still get the 'problem'. The foreign text appears in the pulldowns in the Vray framebuffer. (In the renderelements as well in the render effects/bloom panel)

              I did the following regarding the Manifest:

              regedit: http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-fix-a...tion-displays/

              Text in Manifest file:

              <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
              <assembly xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1" manifestVersion="1.0">
              <application xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v3">
              <windowsSettings>
              <dpiAware xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/SMI/2005/WindowsSettings">False</dpiAware>
              </windowsSettings>
              </application>
              </assembly>

              Could it be that Vray is accessing some universal library and something gets mixed up?

              best
              Menno
