    Whats up with this?

I work and render great, tests. As soon as I'm ready on my 32GB machine to render final highres images, Max constantly crashes. All scenes hover between 16 to 20GB Ram, then that 2 seconds when Embree kicks in, RAM spikes to 30GB and everything I have open, crashes, max, firefox, vlc, thunderbird.

It's gotten so bad that I just switch OFF embree

This latest one is on 3.5 beta1
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

Even after clicking "conserve memory" I still had to increase my displacment edge lenght from default 4, to 6 just to get it to not crash
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

I am also getting crashes when using static accelerator in 3.4, but I am not able to reproduce them. They always happen only randomly, usually several hours into rendering of high-res images.

It looks like a bug. Do you have any crash dumps that you can send me to vlado@chaosgroup.com ? In any case, we are in the process of updating Embree to 2.12 for beta 2, so hopefully it will be better.

        Best regards,
        Vlado
I only act like I know everything, Rogers.
