  • V-ray frame buffer disappears

    Gentle Chaos,
I'm experiencing very often that "Vray frame buffer" task, that has his own tab with vray logo on the windows bottom bar while rendering, disappears when I press show desktop.

I'm unable to find it in the task manager, or switching through the open tasks.
It comes back only after the rendering has completed (I can't see the rendering while going on).

Is that a common issue? There's something to do for fixing it?

I'm on Windows 7, over a WS with Dual CPU Xeon E5-2630, 3DS MAX 2016, vray 3.3 (also previus releases had the same problem)

    Thanks, best regards

This is a 3ds Max thing, not V-Ray specific. Happens with other render engines as well.
What you can do to go around it is to open the Task manager, right-click on the 3ds Max process and use the "Switch to" command.
