OverrideMtl not working with LightMtl?

I'm not able to make OverrideMtl work with LightMtl. Am I missing something? I'm trying to make the LED strip reflect less than it actually should. As you can see, I plugged a completely black LightMtl in the reflection slot of the material but the strip is still reflected in the floor.

It's late and I'm not having a lot of sleep lately... Everything works. This reflection is the reflected diffuse light, not the reflection from the LED strip.
