  • VRAY 3.5 (Beta) unhandled material error

    when attempting to create a vray material got this error:

    (vray log sent to vray@chaosgroup.com with header: "unhandled exception 3.5")

    The log file doesn't have any information about that crash so we will need a little more information about:

    1.Does the issue occur on every scene or just on particular one/ones? Can you please test it on completely new scene?
    2.Does it happen with other V-Ray materials?
    3.Are you using the default installation paths for 3dsMax and V-Ray(C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 201X) or they are installed on custom location?
    4.Does simple re-installation help or not?
    5.What are the exact versions/service packs of 3dsMax and OS?

      >>>>> The error has not re-occurred and I have not performed a re-install.

      5.What are the exact versions/service packs of 3dsMax and OS?
      >>>>> MAX 2017.1.1 Win 7x64 SP1 but some recent MS updates have not been installed due to MS policy changes and intentional MS security leaks in recent MS updates: (win 10-style snooping).
