Having had the same problem in Norway for months now. I just assumed the forum was just down, but tried connecting through TOR on a whim today and that worked.

I just accessed here, from church, and it connected fine. Church uses the same ISP. I did get the message to download the app, which doesn't work anymore; just saying :0

Exact same thing has been happening to me for a few weeks now. It's as though I'm blocked from accessing the forum. I can typically access the main page (chaosgroup.com) but forum access has been hit-n-miss, mostly miss. Flushing my DNS occasionally helps. However it typically only lets me access it once then it's blocked again for a few weeks until whatever clears up. I'm guessing it's something with my ISP...but it's odd because it only seems to impact my connection to the forum here.

It is obviously not a forum user issue. The issue seems to be happening to a lot of people around the globe.

Flushing the DNS should work, and if it stops working it's sort of proof the problem is on the ISP end. (IMHO.) Complain nicely, ask for a refund, should work. Mine ended after 5 days and 3 phone calls. As long as you keep your cool, they can't hang up on you.

I've had this problem also. This is the first day I have been able to get through to the forum in a month or more.

Funniest thing. I've had the same issue with my computer like many others since mid December or so. It has worked from other places and my phone, but not my own network, and I've looked at the router, etc.

Right now when I tried it suddenly worked! I think Chaos has been investigating this quietly and changed something? Right guys??

same here, first time ever it happened in december. from one moment to the other no access.today i tried it again and it worked... for about 1 or two hours. then again i had no more access to the forum.
so i'm writing this here with my smartphone over 3g...

there must have changed something since last december !?
i would say it is something on your side chaosgroup, or it is a GLOBAL little thing that changed

if i do a proxytrace to "forums.chaosgroup.com" from the machine that cannot access i get finally to chaosgroup.com with 16 hops in 3.2 seconds ?!?

i did another tracing over commandline with "tracert forums.chaosgroup.com" . there the tracking stopped at hop 10 at "lac-66-226-31-78.alchemy.net [66.226.31.78]

                  please help

                      Hello guys,

We have discussed that matter with our IT guys. The only way to troubleshoot this issue effectively and understand what's going on is to log on remotely on your machine and run some first hand tests.
Everyone who has troubles accessing the forum and is agree to establish a remote session please contact us at support@chaosgroup.com and include a link to this thread for a reference.

Looking forward to hearing from you guys.

I ran into these issues for almost a week now. Connecting to the forum from work is fine but can't at home.
Tried http://www.proxysurfing.org/ and it worked last night but now it doesn't work either. Will contact support to see if a remote session can be set up to troubleshoot this.
                          always curious...

The situation is getting worse on my end. Am I the only one experiencing this? Can't access the forum at work either now. Can only do it through phone with carrier's mobile network....

Already filed a ticket with the support team. Still waiting...

Last I heard, is was my ISP . Obviously, it isn't the forum users ISP issue. I did buy PureVPN, just incase it happens again for me. So far, it has been good, so I haven't needed to use it.

Hmm, the forum came back to life on my work machine in the beginning of January but now it is gone again. It works on my cell and another workplace in the same area? I'm starting to think ISP as well. Although I agree it is not a forum user issue it only seems to affect Chaosgroup, I don't have any known issues with any others.
