  • beta 2, denoiser and active shade

I'm not sure if this had been mentioned, but when using this, vrb keeps changing to the effectsResult pass after it has updated the image upon setting change. Even when I change it to RGB or VRayDenoiser pass, after update keeps going back to effectsResult.

I've tried different denoiser modes, both overwrite RGB or don't overwrite RGB (not passes only as I want to see the denoised result) and they both act the same.

I think the beta 1 version stayed on the Denoised pass using active shade, which was nice.

Problem is, upon setting change, vrb switches pass to effectsResult which shows a noise pass...I then have to manually keep changing the list box back to the rgb pass to show the denoised result when set to overwrite rgb.

    Am I missing something?

I tried "only generate render elements" and this forced vfb to sit at the rgb pass, and it shows a clean result even with noise set to 0.1. Not sure why effectsResult and VRayDenoiser shows noise in the other 2 modes. Again this is when working in active shade.

Vlado has mentioned that there will be a way to turn off the automatic switching from RGB to effectsResult display modes.
