  • Slow Scene on Numa (E5-2699 v3) Architecture

    Hi,
If i render a simple test scene here are the times (max 2014 with Vray 3.55 from 22-01-2017 nightly build) it is 2 x slower without Distributies rendering(16 sec and with distributed rendering 32 secs)
And distributed rendering is on the same machine (127.0.0.1)
    How is this possible?

Do you have any 3D displacement modifiers where the "Static geometry" option is OFF (it is ON by default now, but you may have picked up an old scene)? Or do you have displacement done through materials? I think these are the only problematic cases that remained. If you think it's something else then it would be best to get me a scene to vlado@chaosgroup.com

    Best regards,
    Vlado

We tried all your suggestion, but noting seems to work, so i send you the scene via mail, it a small file.

We will be able to look into this after the 3.5 official release. Sorry about the delay, just lots of stuff to sift through.

          Best regards,
