  • 3dsmax 2017 + vray 3.5 compiling scene geometry HELP

    hi,
    I've just installed 3dsmax 2017 with the latest service pack + vray 3.5 beta and had to open a scene I made in 3dsmax 2016 and the render won't start, neither local or thru backburner. It's sits forever on Compiling scene geometry. The scene rendered fine on 3dsmax 2016

    anyone has experienced this?

    Nope, I haven't come across this one. Do other scenes work fine? Does beta 1 work fine?

      I dont see any beta download on muy download panel anymore, is there a reason for this?
      I downloaded the oldest nightly to test it, buy I guess is the same Beta 2. Keeps staying on compiling geometry.
      tested with vray 3.4 and it renders fine.

        What happens if you merge that scene into a fresh 2017 scene and load a render preset made from the old scene? Any luck?

          I did that and didn't resolve it.
          I was in a deadline so I had to reinstall vray 3.4 and it rendered fine. It is weird because I tested hiding geometry and found out that the culprit were two models..... but this same scene with nothing hidden, rendered fine in 3.4
