Denoise problem on nodes

What's going on there?

Different nodes muddle up different trees

[PGD]

Hoping for an answer to this as I've got an animation rendering at the moment. I adjusted the noise to 0.03 to try and improve render speed, while hoping the denoise would sort the additional noise out , but I'm not going to be able to use the denoise images now.

I'm seeing strange smudges on internal images too, so it's not just the trees.

Denoise left at default settings
