  • Vray 3.5 Beta - Forest Pack display problems, crashing when using IPR

I have a very light scene with a few grass clumps on a small object generated by Forest Pack. As soon as I start IPR the point clouds of the Forest Pack object disappear. If I stop IPR, the point clouds appear again. Also, if I try to change any parameter in the Forest Pack object such as Distribution Map, Max immediately crashes to desktop without a save dialog. I tested on 3.50.03 and one of the latest nightlies (3.57.01). I can send the scene if needed.

There are currently known issues with Forest Pro; they will require some changes to the Forest Pro plugin itself, as it was not written to work simultaneously in viewport and render mode. We are working with Itoo on this, but it will take a bit of time.

There is no news yet, I'm afraid. If I can't figure out a work-around, I will add an option to disable ForestPro updates by default for IPR in 3.50.04.
