  • Vray proxies issues when offsetting timing

Just came across this strange issue using vray proxies. Basically i made a master animation of a structure timelapse animation which i then converted to an animated vray proxy and scattered in the scene (10 copies no instances). To add some randomness i offset the timing of each with a curve and all looks fine in the viewport but when i render the sequence the proxies do not keep their respective animation offset. To overcome this i put an editable poly on top of each vray proxy which seems to work fine but i doubt this is a proper solution.Has anyone encountered this issue before?

    I'm using vray 3.5.03 and max2017.

its probably not supported. If you put a curve you mean you added keys to offset?

Yep, I added key to the anim_offset control in the graph. Maybe it shouldn't work but it seems to work in the viewport, at least for the test I have done.

yeah its most likely the key is evaluated only once for the entire duration (at frame 1) that is why its not working.

Funny that it previews fine and renders fine with an editable poly on top.
