  • Vray 3.50.03 Vray Framebuffer crashes

Very strange issue with the VFB. Whichever button i click in the VFB, MAX 2014 is crashing. On the same PC VFB is working perfectly on MAX 2017.

Can you try to reinstall the V-Ray build on this particular Max version?
Do you get the Max CER (Customer Error Reporting) dialog for this crash ? It would be helpful to see the 3ds max dump file if exists in the temp folder.
Another approach would be to generate it manually by right-click on 3dsmax.exe in Task manager and select "Create dump file". Note that the resulting .dmp file can be really big.

I have tried to reinstall several times the v-ray with no success.
Unfortunately i'm not aware of where to find this 3ds max dump file. You say temp folder, but temp folder of which program? For the other approach about creating dump file, i don't know when to do it. When i start max and before making it crash or after this?

      Thank you in advance!

        Thanks for the quick response.
Right after the crash occurs, please open the Explorer and type %temp% in the address bar. This should point you in the right Temp directory, then try to find a file called 3dsmax_minidump.dmp

I did found it and also read what other files 3ds max would send to autodesk so i attached them too if needed.

We've just sent you an email with a possible solution for this crash. Please check the mail connected to your V-Ray order.
