  • V-Ray RT Matte shadow with GPU rendering

    Hello.

I have some problems with matte shadows and GPU rendering. I have tried both VRayMtlWrapper and thru V-Ray Object Properties. Also tried to press the new "Make V-Ray shadow catcher" button in V-Ray toolbar. The alpha channel gives me white teapot but no shadows at all. With CPU rendering this works fine.
Also I tried Jeff Pattons test scene (http://jeffpatton.net/basic-composit...w-comparisons/) and it works fine in that scene. If I merge the plane to a new scene, it does not work. I'm making a lot of product shots and the GPU rendering could speed up the workflow a lot. Could anyone help me with this?

    Thanks

    Hi
You need Render Elements to be Activated, and a map in Environment slot... these may be your keys!

      Hi

Thank you! The render elements are active by default but the Environment map was the key! I just put a VRayColor to it and it works perfectly! Yes!

      Thanks again!
