  • VRayMatteShadow / VRayShadows troubles with 3dsmax VRay 3.5

    Hello,

I'm experiencing some troubles with 3dsmax VRay 3.5 when rendering VRayMatteShadow and VRayShadows. Some artefacts are appearing while they are not in the exact same scene in VRay 3.4.

    VRayMatteShadow in VRay3.4:

I created example scenes for both versions. I put them in attachments.

    Thanks,

I forgot to say, it looks like a bucket problem but it is not ... I guess

      Hello!

Both render elements are incompatible with the new adaptive lights model, a warning about that is printed in the messages log while rendering.
You can set the lights type to Uniform probabilistic or Full lights evaluation from the Render Setup >> V-Ray >> Global Switches >> Advanced mode settings. Both will produce correct shadows render elements.

      Best regards,
      Margarita
