  • Blotchy gloss reflections with BF/LC

I'm using the default BF/LC setting and am having issues with a highly reflective part. Pretty sure it's a LC issue.

Max subdivs are at 24, Noise at .008 Also, I've increased the LC subdivs to 2000 but with no difference.

    Thoughts?

Do you have the "retrace" option of the light cache enabled? If not, you should enable it (and leave the default value of 2.0)

    Best regards,

Ahh. Thank you. I kind of wondered about that.

I'm still having some trouble with the blotches. Any other ideas of what I might try?

I think its a reflection of gi. I think you are filtering too much the lightcache or pehaps its related to light cache in some way.

Yep. It seems that unchecking "Use for glossy rays" did the trick. ( I put Retrace back down to 2.0 and Subdivs back to 1000). Looks great now! Thanks for the help.
