  • IPR Crashes

I have learned to save right before I launch IPR because 9 out of 10 times MAX will crash. I'll hear a few beeps and after a few minutes, MAX crashes.

Well, I am sure the support guys would be glad to help if you provided some more infos. What have you been doing while it crashed? Is the issue reproducable?

I launch the VFB and I hit the IPR button. I am not doing anything, other than that. It seems like nothing is happening for a minute, I hear a few crash beeps and after another minute, MAX crashes.

Can you send me the 3dsmax_minidump.dmp file from your temporary folder right after you get a crash, to vlado@chaosgroup.com ? It will be extremely helpful in order to fix the issue. While there have been some occasional issues, such frequency of the crashes means that there is something unusual going on in your scenes and I don't know what it is right away.

            Best regards,
            Vlado

I will, next time it happens. I had it work earlier today, so I'll give it more tries. I actually started recording my screen this last time, thinking I would record it crashing, but it worked fine.

The .dmp file is still there from your last crash (until the next crash) so there's no need to wait for the next one

                Best regards,
                Vlado

Spoke too soon. I went to change the camera and it crashed. Where should I send the dmp file?
