  • Lens effects & cube map

    Hey guys,

I distinctly remember someone asking about this before, but despite my searching I cannot find the topic/thread.

I recently rendered out a stereographic 360 cube map and (it looks fantastic btw - can't wait to show the client) the only issue I've got is that the lens effects create visible seams that show the edges of the cube when viewed on a headset/phone. As I said, I know this has been brought up here before but I was wondering if there is any fix in the new vray (I'm on 3.4) that prevents this or do I have to do without lens effects? I hope it's the former, as I really like the way they handle highlights on windows.

    Thanks,

    Chris

We do not have a fix for this at the moment, unfortunately. There's some R&D going on in this area, so we'll see...

Thanks vlado, good to hear it. I'll disable them for now and try to photoshop them in.

Any news/progress on this? I'm finding I'm doing more and more VR work now, so it would be super to have this kind of flexibility.

Nothing that you can use yet, unfortunately.

There still appears to be an issue with this in the latest releases of Next. Any update Vlado?
