I have to turn my environment map off when I rotate it otherwise there is a huge delay. If I pick anything on screen before the map loads after turning it back on MAX crashes 100% of the time. I am not sure if this is a V-Ray or MAX thing.

If you are on Max 2017, it is a Max thing. Until 2016, this was really fast in the viewport.
