  • Sun+sky is broken?

    Hello,

Some tests side by side, same behavior in complex scenes.

Sky is brighter and produces blue hue like sun position don't affect color of the sky, also it has blue noise that is hard to get rid off.

Same scene with dome light give more or less identical results in all engines.

Max 2016, latest stable nightly build tried few previous builds but it is same.

This seems to be caused from the "max ray intensity" param. If you turn it off it will be much closer.
We are looking into that to check in case it can be better.

        Hi,

I can't get it close with MRI especially in more complex interiors, everything have blue tone and that blue grain noise, currently using dome light+sun and it does the trick. Sun+sky looks wrong on cuda with default settings and physical camera.

Can you send a scene for inspection ?

            Hello,

Found reason for blue grain, it was because of glass material, i don't know why as it is same as new one that is not creating noise... for some reason this was issue. However still suffering from blue tone like in scene uploaded in first post, its just way too blue.

Found one thread with same issues while i was searching why is this happening: http://forums.chaosgroup.com/showthr...u+brighter+cpu

This is more or less same problem i have, can you give me email i will try to chop scene down to more manageable size, unfortunately i don't have time right now to do so but i will send it to you tomorrow or day after tomorrow, but you can see what is going on with scene from thread i've linked it's same issue.

            Thanks

Hey, we got the scene on our support mail, but it is the same as the one uploaded here (the one that renders differently because of the max ray intensity).
Is there any other problem beside that ?
