VRayProxy viewport performance issue

Please check this video

First part of the video - proxies are shown as "Preview from file (faces)"
Second part - proxies are shown as "Preview from file"
As you can notice there is huge performance drop in terms of FPS. This is related to any kind of proxy object.
I am not sure is this VRay related or 3dsmax ?

Displaying edges in the viewport consumes much more graphic resources so it is normal to have slower performance when those are enabled.
This is not an issue, it is expected behavior.
