  • Render difference between 3.50.04 and 3.40.03

    Hello Guys

    I've got some differences between 3.50.04 and 3.40.03 !

Is there a way to compensate the change as before with 3.2 and 3.3 ?
I need to re-render some (not so old) works !!!!!!

    Best regards.

    Hello,

Do I need to roll back to 3.40.03 ?!

I try some little changes to my setting, but... no... always different from previous build.

Hope you can help on this issue and does the new version slightly change the overall rendering ?

    Best regards...

I will need to see a scene for this (you can email it to vlado@chaosgroup.com). I can't think of anything right away that has changed.

      Best regards,
      Vlado

        Hello Vlado,

I try with another scene and I've got very different results

In this example I've got the same kind of things in the bump slot as the previous post.

A sample scene is on his way

It looks like 3.50.03 had a bug where a bump texture produced different results when it is directly attached to the bump slot of a material, and when it is in the bump slot of a VRayNormalMap texture. This bug was fixed in 3.50.04 and you see the difference. So it looks like you will have to adjust the bump amount in order to get similar results as in the buggy version.

          Best regards,
          Vlado

            hello Vlado,

You mean 3.40.03 was bugged ?

The difference is between 3.4 and the last one (3.50.04)

            Best regards...
