Ok here is the scenario, I selected a bunch of objects to be matte through V-Ray properties and 2 of them are refusing to render as matte, they just render normal. Any ideas why this may be happening? I cant for the life of me figure out why these 2 objects are not cooperating and in a real bind as I need it rendered yesterday of course.

Ill strip it down and send it off to you.
**EDIT**
I think its something to do with the material, I just tried using the override material in the global settings and now the offending objects are not rendering in the RGB pass Ill still try to get you a file shortly I just need to get this back in the farm to re render.Last edited by Syclone1; 24-04-2017, 07:43 AM.Cheers,

Thanks for the ticket ID, I can see that my colleagues already replied to you and I am going to paste the reply here just in case anyone face the same thing:
This is the expected behavior when there are reflections on a matte object. You cam set the Reflection amount to 0 in V-Ray object properties for the result you are looking for.

Ok Im going to put a wishlist suggestion in to be able to turn off reflections via a switch in the V-Ray properties as modifying over a hundred materials one by one and recording what each was set to return them is going to be a huge pain in the butt.
Thanks for the explanation though, at least I know whats causing it and can fix it for lack of better terms.Cheers,

Reflection amount is in V-Ray Properties actually and as such it can be applied on multiple objects.
Just select all objects you would like to set that option from the browser on the left side of the V-Ray Properties and set the desired change.Last edited by svetlozar.draganov; 28-04-2017, 05:44 AM.

In truth between my arthritis and my back being buggered Im on some crazy strong meds and that may have contributed to the inability to see the options in hindsight my creative level has gone up lolCheers,
