  • Denoiser generating black geometry on VrayProxys with MotionBlur on

    Hi,

We have an issue where the denoiser pass is blacking out random VrayProxy objects when motion blur is ticked on the camera settings. The problem only seems to arise when we send the animation sequences to render on our farm, so it seems to be related to the servers and not local rendering.

The proxy that gets blacked out seems to be random each time I send out a render, but each server will black out their own selected VrayProxy objects and so as a result, the proxies in the animation will flash black objects. It doesn't seem to matter whether the object itself is moving

    Hi,
Funny, I was about to post exactly the same problem.
It's an old problem? I've got it last year (https://forums.chaosgroup.com/showth...settings-BF-LC - at the end) - ticket number was: #630380.
And last week, I sent a animation to an external render farm service...And again exactly the same weird artecfact
(See part of the 2 consecutive frames)

I also have motion blur enabled but I can't tell you if it occurs when it's off
Anyway, it seem to be the same problem as you.

    Thanks

It looks like the same issue reported by Rikou indeed, which we still need to fix. If possible, please send us your scene to support@chaosgroup.com so we can test it out once the fix is added.

No, we already have your scene. I just wanted to have the Tim's scene and it is now in our support queue as I see.

I just tested the Tim's scene and confirm that the issue is with Denoiser and Camera motion blur calculation. This produces random black render of V-Ray proxy objects in animation.

Do you have Camera motion blur enabled for the images posted in reply #2? I see the scene uploaded for your initial bug report about this render issue (Ticket 630380) has motion blur.
