  • Aerial Perspective Blown Out In Distance

    Hi all,

Is there a way to prevent this blown out white area in the distance when using aerial perspective?

I've attached an image showing the VRayAtmosphere pass to help explain. Increasing the visibility range reduces it but also reduces the fog effect too much for what we want to do.

Edit: Alternatively - is it possible to render aerial perspective as a separate element?

    Thanks,

    Max

I noticed that you have send us email at support@chaosgroup.com. It would be great if you could send us simple test scene so we could try different settings and see if we could help you.

Thanks Nikolay, based on your email it got me thinking what might be causing the problem

Essentially the reason is that a vraysun had been left in the scene, since the scene is lit with a HDRI and the vraysun was set to disabled I didn't consider that it would be affecting the aerial perspective. Re-positioning the disabled sun has reduced the effect.
