Changing a VRayLight type from Plane to Disc seems to make light double sided (even though double-sided is NOT checked).

  • Changing a VRayLight type from Plane to Disc seems to make light double sided (even though double-sided is NOT checked).

I will test this further, but I was surprised to find today, that when I converted instances of lights (just underneath scene ceiling) that were set to Invisible, NOT double-sided, and changed them ONLY from Plane to Disc (that's all I changed) - the light then behaved as though the Disc Light was double-sided (even though Double-Sided remained UN-checked)........

Any one have this happen before ?

(I will post further proof later today)

Nope, just tried it - there must be something else.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done
