  • Matte object looks strange when using background image in VFB

I've got a simple matte object (made it matte through the button in the Vray toolbar) that looks strange if I load a background image through VFB. If I load the background image in the environment slot of Max instead, I don't get artifacts. Please check the screenshot.

I'm not getting any problems with this setup and version in my tests renders. Please send me your scene file.

Ok, I just found that this happens if I've enabled both the Max environment map and the VFB background image. If I turn off the environment slot in Max and leave just the VFB background image turned on, I don't get this problem. So I guess having the environment map in Max turned on is not desired and should be avoided when using VFB background image.

Yes, it's important to leave the Environment "Black" to get a proper compositing with the VFB background option.
