I've got a simple matte object (made it matte through the button in the Vray toolbar) that looks strange if I load a background image through VFB. If I load the background image in the environment slot of Max instead, I don't get artifacts. Please check the screenshot.

Ok, I just found that this happens if I've enabled both the Max environment map and the VFB background image. If I turn off the environment slot in Max and leave just the VFB background image turned on, I don't get this problem. So I guess having the environment map in Max turned on is not desired and should be avoided when using VFB background image.Aleksandar Mitov
