Disappearing leaves on render nodes

We have just updated our systems to Max 2018, Forest Pro 5.4.0 and VRay 3.6 and have quite an issue with rendering on files that previously worked fine.

Workstations are rendering just fine, but when the render nodes kick in using distributed rendering all of the leaves on the trees disappear; though the trunks/branches/twigs still render.

All mapping appears to be fine, and the nodes are on the same versions of the software.

Does it happen if you update to 3.60.02 from our website?

It works! Thank goodness for that, we spent half a day friday trying to track this problem down.
