  • Aviz tiles - buckets aren't rendering in DR on other machine, although they render locally on both machines fine.

    vray 3.6 - Max 2015

So I'm rendering a scene with DR, all plug-ins are the same on both machines - the scene renders correctly on each machine separately. However, for DR - one machine won't render the tiles correctly - although trying it in reverse, both machines render OK, even with DR on.

In a quick test everything works fine in DR with Aviz tiles. Can you attach the V-Ray log file from the slave machine in configuration that doesn't work?

Can you let me know where that file is? It's not in c:\ where the documentation says it should be.

It should be in the windows temp folder > "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\
You can get an instant access to this folder by typing %temp% in the explorer address bar. Then search for vraylog.txt

Your forum software is saying: Your file of 748335 bytes exceeds the limit of 20000. vraylog.txt

Even though the file is about 500k and it wont let me post a dropbox link

            https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...25/vraylog.txt

I dunno if that will work - otherwise this is a dropbox link.

I'll check this with our IT guys and will increase the upload size for text files if needed. You can archive the files before uploading them for now.

Noting useful in the log unfortunately.
Please double check all the versions installed on the machines. Such issues may occur with mixed plugin versions.

Can you send me your scene file to make a test with DR here? By the way, are you rendering something simple or a complex project file?

I have checked everything - they are all using the same versions.

And indeed like I said - rendering from machine to using machine 1 as a slave renders fine. So surely that wouldn't be an issue if it worked that way?

I can send the scene, but it is an external arc viz scene with many proxies and maps.

                Do you still want it?
