  • Anisotropy in two different directions using the same material?

Is it possible to have two different anisotropic directions in the same material? Mind you I don't mean for these to cancel each other out as to be an isotropic material.

I got a stainless steel tube as real life reference here which scatters light very strangely, as if it has two different brush directions. One along the tube and one around it.

I try to keep the material basic as in I don't want to create a blend material and adjsut two different materials too early on. Is it possible to do this with a single shader?

You will have to blend two materials with different anisotropy orientation.

Thanks for the reply. This may not be a usual thing, I know, so I guess there are no plans on implementing something like that in the forseeable future, are there?
