  • One machine taking FOREVER to denoise

I have one computer on my render farm which has a relatively fast processor (6-core Sandybridge) and generally renders faster than most of the other computers, however sometimes when Denoiser is turned on (this is not standalone denosier, but a denoiser render element), the frames take FOREVER. Where they might take 3-4 minutes on one machine this machine will take 30. I think all the extra time is happening while denoising separate elements -- it seems to be running at tortuously slow speeds during this period.

What would cause Denoiser process to run extremely slowly on this one computer?

I don't really know where to begin as far as diagnosing the problem.

Could you share with us the specification of your machine compared to other machine to your network(that is denoising fine). Could you check the log files and see if there are any error messages. Also you could try turning off the "hardware acceleration" from the Advanced denoiser parameters and see if the the machine is denoising for the same time.
