Lens effects through backburner sporadic

I've rendered a sequence of frames with quite extreme glare/bloom options. Looking at the saved EXR files, the glare/bloom seems quite random as to if it is on or not. What could cause this? Some of our render farm machines don't have GFX cards in them, or if they do, quite basic cards. I have tried disabling hardware acceleration in the lens effects settings to see if this has an effect. I will post an update when enough frames have rendered.

My tests with 'hardware acceleration' de-selected seem to solve the problem. Is this a bug? Surely VRay should use CPU if the renderfarm machine doesn't have the appropriate hardware to do it on the GPU rather than just not doing it and yielding a random result.

This is the same case here. Seems to be a bug, we had to disable Hardware Acceleration too to have a consistent bloom/glare. Please fix.

Yup, I reported this a few weeks ago AFAIR. I was surprised it hasn't the same automatic switch as Denoiser, when no compatible hardware is detected -> switch to CPU only. Let's hope it will be fixed once and for all in the next update.

It should be alright with stable nightlies from 10.November.2017 and later. You can download those from http://nightlies.chaosgroup.com (if you don't have access, mail to support@chaosgroup.com and ask them for access to stable nightlies).
