  • Bloom and Glare not working on GPU since Windows 10 update

    Hi,

I'm getting the error message when I render with 3D Studio Max 2017 and Vray 3.6.03

warning: Error 1 during hardware accelerated glare calculation. Falling back to CPU. Applying lens effects might take longer than usual.

This has only happened since I had that huge Windows 10 update the other night, my Titan X seems to be working fine so not sure what the issue is.

    Thanks

Does this issue occurs on every new simple scene or just on a particular one. Also have you tried reinstalling your GPU driver?

Seems to be any scene at the minute, strangely bloom seems to work on GPU. If I uncheck 'hardware accelerated' the glare works straight away so I can work around it. I'm not sure if its connected to the windows 10 update how-ever I did have other issues at the same time.

Win10 updates sometimes install GPU drivers that don't actually work.
Download and install the latest drivers from the NVIDIA website and it will be okay.
There is not much that we can do (beside fullbacking to CPU so it still works) .
