Unless i am doing something wrong - when i test an image on rebus saving as just a jpeg in VFB i have highlight burn turned down but on the rebus render it seems to ignore it and not save
I had the opposite problem. I saved as an exr. Forgot that my highlight burn was turned on in the VFB (as I wanted to play with it myself, loading the rendered EXR in the VFB) and the result was an EXR with the highlight burn already applied. (Also all my render elements weren't saved with it either). Sometimes I really don't understand what is going on to get a correct output (especially with renderfarms). When I asked Rebusfarm about it, they asked me if I worked in LWF, which to my knowledge is the default of max and vray nowadays no? When I answered affirmatively they replied they don't support LWF? I didn't reply as I didn't have the time, but am I missing something here, or understanding something completely wrong?
I actually figure out my issue - stupidly saved with the standard max tickbox save and not under separate render channels RGB. Although i learn something new everyday i didnt actually know if you loaded an image back in to VFB you could use the correction tools and re-save.

Isn't that how you should save according to Rebus? Under the standard max Save tickbox?
