  • Vray Instancer for pflow particle animation

Rendering has become excruciatingly slow with my animation as I have hundreds of thousands of objects in my particle animation. I tried to use vray instancer to reduce memory but all my particles lose their motion and become static. Is there a tutorial anywhere on how to use Vray instancer in this way?

    Thanks,
    Rob

We don't have official tutorial on how to use the VRayInstancer, but you could send us a test scene to support@chaosgroup.com and we would try to find what might be causing the issue in your scene.

      Heya Rob!

If they're simple objects, make sure the render event in pflow is set to "mesh per particle" if it isn't already, otherwise as you say it's pretty damn slow

You might also use the mesher to make them seen as 1 object instead of 200k. Some systems won't be able perfect for the mesher though.
