We're having an issue where having a normal map in the material overrides any displacement detail. So in this example most of the detail comes from the displacement and then we are using normal maps to add fine surface details. As soon as it's turned on the normal map completely wipes out all the information in the displacement map, even though it still shows in the VRayNormals pass. At first I thought it was an auto bump issue but turning on cache normals, view dependant off and setting the edge length extremely low gives the same results.
