vray 3.5.04 brighter buckets with DR

I get brighter buckets from the computer that acts as server for DR but only if "Adaptive Lights" is enabled... if I turn it of everything renders normal...
I had no such problems since years now, but in this scene they are back.

any ideas why this happens?

are all your paths UNC? I had a lot of issues with buckets gamma on "slaves"... it was mostly a missing plugin, or the light maps (irradiance...) could not be passed to the slaves because of a local address somewhere in the project. or just the light texture with a local path... (vrayHDRI in the light's texure slot). Never had that thing with "adaptive on or off" at all...

what is your output gamma? and do you render in linear space or some RGB curve?

Do you use IES lights?

First I would try to update to a newer V-Ray version.
