Hi,
it appears that V-Ray doesn't respect global displacement toggle in the common tab of render settings. I am now in a situation where I need to often turn on and off displacement globally in the scene, because I need to iterate quickly and preprocessing times with displacement are very long. Scripted solution is not really an option, because I need to retain the state of displacement modifier in the scene - for example I have 4 displacement modifiers enabled, and two disabled. Scripting a global displacement modifier switch is fairly easy, but once I would click it second time to turn displacement back on again, it would turn on also on the objects where it's supposed to be disabled. I think that the 3ds Max's Displacement toggle in the common tab should work in the first place.
